Salinas Community Helps Raise Over $3,000 for Diabetes Research

Aug 15th, 2017

Last week Taylor Farms hosted a Farmers Market at our Salinas, CA headquarters to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). For just $20, Taylor Farms employees, their families, and the local community received a blue Taylor Farms-branded reusable tote bag to fill up with donated salads and fresh veggies from Taylor Farms and D’Arrigo Bros. Co., and berries from Driscoll’s.

More than 150 people attended the Market, and helped us raise over $3,000 — all of which will directly benefit JDRF.

JDRF is committed to accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications. They are the global leader in the funding and research of T1D.

“Diabetes is an issue I hold close to my heart, as I am a Type 1 Diabetic. It means so much to work for a company dedicated to supporting causes like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and that empowers us to be creative in our involvement and fundraising,” says Jennifer Golden, Office Manager at Taylor Farms. “Hosting a Farmers Market was the perfect way to promote healthy lifestyles while fundraising for this important cause.”

Thank you to everyone who helped us support this cause!

Taylor Farms is a corporate sponsor of JDRF.
